What is my personal experience with the LordFollowing on from the previous 2 Sundays ago, We are carry on looking at Act 1:1 - 11, we focus on verse 8.
In Mark 3:13-15, we realise that Jesus only have intentional expectation from His relationship with His Disciples. Jesus asks all who will follow Him and manifest his mandate to BE WITH HIM so that he can invest in them and pour Himself on them. Jesus priority is to deposit an experience in our lives, this is what He did with His disciples so that we can have total assurance in the truth of the mandate Jesus has called us to continue. This personal experience that we gain from being with Jesus is the only way even ourselves can receive the fullness of God's glory here on earth, this is how our experience/story can be formed so that when we face difficult situations or trial or temptations, we can be certain to stand firm and remain committed to the mandate Jesus handed over to us.

After February, there is a pressing question - "where do we go from here?". God is real, we have heard of the things God want to do, we have received the call to be revived with the holy spirit willing to move upon our response. Now we need to set on the journey to live the real deal. We want to explore seeking the holy spirit to be experienced for real on a day to day relationship.
The outpouring of the holy spirit is for an assignment. The mandate Jesus gave to the disciples was an order/ authority to fulfill the assignment. Acts 1:1-11. What is the Kingdom mandate given to the disciples? First, Jesus first began to do (verse 1) before he started to teach. So when he began to preach He was preaching what He is (not what is has not experienced). The sermon observes the mandate Jesus began and left to us to complete. |
