Revival is about a relationship, It is about Jesus and not about the community changing. The change we seek is a result of the revival that already taken place. It is often seen as a technique but this is not what we seek for. We seek to be revived into a true and deeper revelation of Jesus.
Joshua 1:8 - "Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful." NIV Revival is for any man who responds to the word of God, it is not for an elite group of people or for a particular denomination of churches. If we dedicate ourselves to seeking God's He promises that we will find Him. Jeremiah 29:12-14 "'Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you,' declares the LORD..." Revival comes out of a quest to know God, for Him to show us who we really are that we can come clean in His present....

Message on 21 Feb 2016 Revival is the sovereign work of the almighty God. It is not man. There cannot be a church revival if there is first not a personal revival. Real revival starts with development of personal experience of men dedicated to knowing God and by the out pouring of the spirit of God from the personal experience.
The need for a man to humble Himself and seek personal revival by God cannot be underplayed. Without it, we cannot be revived as a congregation, family, nation. The act of revival exposes our sins before God, therefore making us able to have access to Him, that He may revive us - Psalm 32: 5-6. We must not remain slumber in our sleep and remain dead to God. If God Has said something about our lives and we are not seeing results, we have the right to ask. The lack of evidence of the promise of God should lead us to know that something is wrong somewhere. This act of holding God to his word and allowing Him to bring Himself out among us as He has promised is the beginning of revival.
If God said in Jeremiah 23:29 Does not my word burn like fire?, Says the Lord. "Is it not like a hammer that smashes the rock into pieces?" .....Why is it then that today, we preach and nothing happens, No man is convicted not hearts are repenting and yet we carry on doing the same thing over and over again. The lack of evidence of the work of God is why we need to cry to God for help. The reality of my need must be expressed to God. Revival is based on an expectation; this expectation is based on where God wants us to be. Revival is a state of being, it’s not an act of doing only but there is a reasoning to it, a WHY.
The question is does the church (the family of Jesus Christ) today need revival? Do I need a revival in this day? Like in the book of Act chapter 2, Revival broke out from among a group of believers. So revival start from individuals. For any man to receive revival from God, it is imperative that we (with the help of the Holy spirit) acknowledge that we are not where God wanted him to be and that he needs help from God. “If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth” - 1 John 1:6-10 If anyone of us believe that we don't need revival, then our lives must prove it otherwise we will be making God a liar.
